We offer four specialties in this program: Adult-Gerontology Primary Care, Family Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Primary Care and Women’s Health/Gender Studies.

The fellowship begins each year in the summer semester. Study in the MN portion of the program will be consecutive summer, fall, spring, and summer semesters. MSN will begin in the fall or spring semester.

The Family Nurse Practitioner track prepares advanced practice nurses to manage the care of individuals and families across the lifespan. FNPs are advanced practice nurse generalists and graduates of this track are responsible for health care delivery in the areas of health promotion, disease prevention, and clinical management of primary care conditions. The fall program, complemented by full-time study in supervised clinical settings, offers a flexible, active learning format in which the theoretical content of each course is taught one weekend per month (from Tuesday to Tuesday) are taught each semester. The remainder of each semester is taught using face-to-face and Web-based advanced educational methods for student/faculty collaboration, faculty presentations, and clarification of theoretical content. All clinical courses are offered as immersive practicum experiences, approved by the faculty, conducted in person, in pre-determined clinical settings.
